Routine consultations are by appointment with the doctor of your choice by telephoning 01772 798122. Please note a 10 minute appointment is for one problem; please do not expect several problems to be dealt with at one appointment.
Routine appointments are at 10 minute intervals but if you have a problem that you feel is likely to take longer please ask for a longer appointment when you contact the surgery. If you want a particular time of day or a specific doctor you may have to wait a few days.
Please make an appointment for each person wishing to be seen.
To improve access for patients with urgent problems all requests for appointments for the same day should be made by telephone at 08:00. If you do have an urgent problem, ring the surgery and inform the receptionist who will take some details from you. The doctor on call will ring you back to resolve your problem or allocate an urgent appointment or a routine appointment – whichever is the most appropriate. This allows us to see urgent problems on the same day. Please note we can only give one emergency appointment, per household, per day.
In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many conditions and you may be seen more quickly.
Help us to see you sooner. Wasted appointments keep patients waiting. It reduces our service by depriving us of a valuable resource. If you are unable to keep an appointment please notify the surgery in good time so that we can offer the appointment to another patient.
Patients who miss 3 or more appointments within in a 6 month period will be asked to find another practice.
